Barney saw Mark, who is the senior vet and ferret specialist this
morning. Mark seems to think that Barney has a Duff heart as he's got
a very irregular heart beat and it skips a beat then speeds up and
slows down... So, he's doing a few simple tests and an abdominal tap
to check the fluid in his stomach and then it's likely that I'll have
a ferret on heart tablets with a good quality of life!!

So that makes it a score of... a cat with one eye (HRFL), a cat with
one eye and 1/2 a tail (MLW), A cat on blood pressure and kidney
tablets and tablets for congestive heart problems (Robbie), A cat with
buggered knees (Pandora), a cat who suffers IBD from stress (Cleo), a
horse who is scared of humans (Sophia) and Cara my bald Border Collie
who suffers from a flea allergy... and then there's Riley who is feral
(my ass).

Oh for a normal animal, LOL!!

Please keep the purrs coming for Barney - they are working!

That's great :-) At least insofar as a heart defect can be great.....but
there's hope for him now.
So, more animals to give medicine to. I can't remember the last time I
didn't have to give medicine to one or more animals every day, but it's
worth it.

Ya know, sometimes people call my family of misfits. Someone has to collect
them, be it human or animal friends. Glad they have you to worry about
them.

Bet they are all a lot of fun and well worth the extra doing it takes to
keep them going.

Purrs for Barney, and for your personal animal clinic. ;-)

Wow, you seem to be running a veterinary practice!

I'm really glad that Barney has gotten a reprieve. Hooray for Mark! Purrs
for the heart meds to work well.
