cat with dislocated leg
thanks all for the replies.
the next day after i posted, we were able to get our cat into the vet - a neighbor up the street had a four wheel drive and took us. our cat has a broken pelvis but the doctor said x-rays showed it was broken below the hip joint and that it will heal itself over the next two months. the hip joint and leg are fine. he prescribed some pain meds for the cat in the meantime. he said it looked like he was hit by a car to break the pelvis like that. as for the question about our internet, we have a 386 computer and use the free dialup freenet so our internet costs nothing. if it did, we couldn't afford it. the vet bill cost us over half of our monthly pension but he is worth it. |

The most important question is, will you keep your cat inside now? You might have avoided this expense not to mention the injury and pain your cat has experienced if you had only kept him in. |

Thank you for taking your cat to a vet and also for updating us. I do hope you will consider keeping your cat inside now. This would be a good time to make that adjustment. All of my cats have been indoor-only (even one that was formerly feral), and all have been happy and healthy. MaryL |
