Oh Kelly - I know how hard this is - I've lost Otis no fewer than four
times. Good work on the fliers and getting the word out in your condos.
Getting the community involved is key.

They put sardines in the traps and Otis couldn't resist these on day 9. The
trap that got him was put just inside a garden shed, since he was wanting to
investigate closed safe feeling kinds of places.

Hang in there Kelly, don't give up hope, and keep looking. I really
recommend sardines to trap a hungry cat!

Purrs coming from Otis and Chester for you and Antonio and homing thoughts
from me.

Take care,

Susan M

My little Antonio, a 1 year old semi-feral, has been missing since Monday.
The front screen door is broken, and we've been keeping it locked to keep

it
secure so the cats can't get out, but one of us must have forgotten to

lock
it. I had 4 (out of 7) cats get out. The others are all regular friendly
cats, so they got back in right away. Antonio was under a neighbor's

porch,
and then he bolted and I haven't seen him since. :-(
I have 4 traps set around, have posted fliers everywhere, and have talked

to
just about everyone in our condos. I wish I could at least see him! I am
worried sick. I can't sleep at night. Antonio came to me as a foster
kitten to socialize, but he became Bartleby's best friend, and I couldn't
separate them. He's made a bit of progress since he's been here. I can

pet
him, he comes up on the bed with me and purrs. Of course, the past couple
weeks I've been trying to put a collar and name tag on him, but haven't

been
able to.
I feel so awful that he's out there, afraid.

Oh, god, I know exactly what you're going through and understand
full well the pain you're experiencing right now. We have an
abundance of purrs available and on their way, that Antonio will be
found ASAP and come home hale and hearty. We'll add some doggy-wags,
too, and our fervent hopes for his safe return. Hugs!!!

Kelly, it sounds like you're doing a lot of the right things to find
him --
I'd also suggest checking with your local shelters and take them flyers,
too. Purrs from us for your success in finding him!
Christine

Done, I'm also a volunteer at a local shelter, so I have a lot of people on
the case. I told the local animal control to contact me immediately if they
pick up a cat that looks like him (and I left a flier w/ picture). My fear
is that they would mistake him for a feral and put him down.
