Mr Meezer is slowly adapting to the new household and the current
owners are also adapting to someone new. They are all asleep in the
living room right now. A new change. I've gotten over my fear of
getting bitten and picked him up. He will sit on my body and totally
relax for a long time. Progress is being made.

He is going to the vet on Saturday because he has had the sneezies
since I got him. A couple of the vets here in town offer a free exam
if you schedule it within a couple of days of adoption. I am taking
advantage of that for this exam. I figure I may have to pay for an
antibiotic, but otherwise, it shouldn't be that expensive.

I still need a name for him. He is a beautiful cat and I think he will
eventually have just the personality I am looking for - he is just
cautious right now.

To tell you how big he is, I have a set of stairs in my apartment - it
is a full size width set of stairs. He loves to sleep on them. When he
gets comfortable, he can reach almost from one edge of the stairs to
the other edge of the stairs with his paws stretched way out in front
of him. He is VERY cute.

One of the neat things about this rescue society - they are a no kill
also, is that they have an arrangement with a couple of vets to do one
free exam in the first 72 hours you have the animal so you can get it
checked out and make sure there is nothing wrong with it or get care
easily if there is. I am definitely taking advantage of this. The vets
involved consider it an investment for future patients. Sure a lot of
them will only come in once for the care, but a lot will stay with
them for routine vet care, so they win.

In any event Mr Meezer goes in for his exam Saturday at noon. I don't
think it is anything major, but I suspect it might involve medication.
